Intro to Philosophy
This class is a survey of topics from different periods and different styles in the history of philosophy. We will read and think about the soul, immortality, God, time, desire, the unconscious and alienation. The reading will range from Ancient Greek to contemporary French philosophy.

Philosophical Reading and Analysis
This course will introduce students to close reading and analytical reflection on/with/through philosophical texts. It will function as a bridge between lower and upper division courses. Thematically we will read about notions of the Self particularly in connection with the nature of time. Our authors will be Aristotle, Augustine, Kant, Husserl.

Philosophy of Mind
We will examine theories of mental activity by Kant and Husserl. Our focus will be on the relationship between intentional consciousness and time.
